I finish weeding the organ bed and plant out 4 hostas and a tray of pansies. The bed is very dry so with Patrick's help I bring out a hose to give it a good soaking. I'm hoping that the lovely tall fox gloves in the bed will bloom in time for the Open Day. I then water the cottage garden planting around the house and take the hose up to the bee area to water the new planting around the hives and viewing platform. The bees are very active, its incredible that they know which hive to go into! The weather is unnaturally warm and everywhere is so dry the soil is like dust. I can't believe I'm watering so much already! I go back outside after my teaching to water all the veg and fruit.
