I checked on the progress of my seed order this morning and ironically they arrived this afternoon. I decided to order the rest of my sweetpeas after reading an article by Sarah Raven (cut flower guro!) that she plants her sweet peas in the Autumn to get the strongest plants and then plant them out in March. I have previously sown some in the Autumn (for the polytunnel) and some in the Spring. I revise this plan and order 11 more packets of different varieties of Sweet Pea - I intend to plant them round the fruit cage, the same as I have done this year, as I was very happy with the results. I also decide that I will plant 2 seeds to a hole, as she recommends. I sort out the new seed order and plant a tray of 40 lettuce - Vailan, Chatsworth, Cosmic and winter Density. I then sorted out the potatoes on the bench, that are now dry enough to go into sacks, to clear space for the pumpkins. We have 3 decent sacks of potatoes to work our way through.
