God must have been looking down and there is some rain on Saturday! Aideen plays very well in the Mozart flute and harp concerto, in the concert with Harrow Symphony this evening.
I am up early watering, conscious that we will have to leave for our Harrow Speech Room Concert at about 2:30. I finish planting the cannas which includes planting the two giant cannas at the beginning of the central borders. This is quite a performance and takes at least 2 people to get them out of the pots. This is because they are heavy and tall. They need holding upside down, quite high and this results in soil from the plants falling into my bra!!! I am very relieved when both plants are safely installed, this is a rather tricky annual job.
